Elopement vs. Small Wedding
2020 was the year of small weddings and elopements. Many brides opted to switch from a big white wedding and reception to a more intimate, family only affair. We offer many wedding only and elopement packages, but sometimes the terminology gets a little confusing with people. Definitions below!
Elopement
Planning: Typically an elopement is scheduled in a little more of a “spur of the moment” style. However, we do have quite a few couples a year that do schedule their elopements a little further out!
People: Most of the time, an elopement ceremony is just the bride & groom with 2-3 guests to act as witnesses and sign the marriage license.
Clothing: I have seen it ALL for elopements. I have seen the classic jeans-tshirt-crocs combo all the way to tuxedos and wedding dresses complete with a cathedral veil. Elopements are truly about the bride and groom so whatever makes you most comfortable is absolutely perfect!
Time: Elopements are usually 30 minutes to an hour long. Just enough time to say “I do,” sign the marriage license, and snap a few pictures.

Small Wedding
Planning: Small weddings definitely do not take nearly as much time to plan as regular wedding & receptions do, but the planning time varies quite a bit from couple to couple. Some book a month out, others book 10-12 months out. However much time it takes to plan the perfect day is fine with us! We will help you as much as we can every step of the way.
People: The amount of guests may depend on the amount of family you want involved in your intimate ceremony. Usually for groups larger than 50, I suggest going with at least 3 hours for the rental time to ensure nobody feels rushed! The most important thing is to make sure you are inviting them because YOU want them to be there, not because you have to.
Clothing: Typically the bride wears a lighter colored gown of varying levels of fanciness with the groom in slightly darker colors.
Time: Most of our wedding only packages are 2-3 hours long, but we do offer some longer rentals as well!
Cost: Our wedding only packages range from $1,000 - $3,000.
