Some love stories just take a little longer to get to the wedding day.
Heather & William were married at Stonegate Glass Chapel on June 7, 2026, but their story actually began years before that.
The two had known each other since college. Life eventually took them in different directions, they each got married, had children, and continued building their lives separately.
Then, years later, their paths crossed again.
They reconnected about a year before their wedding, and this time around, everything fell into place.
A Pink & Navy June Wedding
Heather & William chose a classic pink and navy color palette for their wedding day.
Linda's Flowers brought in beautiful pink tones through the florals, which looked especially pretty against all of the deep green surrounding Stonegate in early June.
It was a humid, overcast Missouri day, which may not sound particularly exciting on a weather app, but overcast skies can create such a soft atmosphere around the glass chapel.
And thankfully, everyone had plenty of air conditioning waiting inside!
A Wedding That Was About More Than Two People
One of the things that made Heather & William's story so special was that this wasn't simply the beginning of a marriage.
They were also bringing together lives and families that had already been built over the years.
Weddings later in life can have such a different feeling to them. There's still all of the excitement of beginning something new, but there's also an appreciation for everything that happened along the way to bring two people back together.
For Heather & William, that journey started all the way back in college.
It just took a few extra chapters to get to the wedding.
A Beautiful June Celebration
After reconnecting, Heather & William didn't waste much time figuring out that they'd found their way back to someone pretty important.
About a year later, they were standing together inside Stonegate Glass Chapel surrounded by the people they love, finally getting their turn.
We were so happy to be part of this chapter of their story.
